Bust Streets and Passing Cars
A place in which I should take extra care would be when filming at Piccadilly Circus, London. There will be many pedestrians wondering the streets, as well as many cars passing quickly through the busy London roads. I will be filming many short clips of the scenery in this area, and therefore there is an increased danger from surrounding people, whom I could walk in to, or in worse cases, they could steal equipment, meaning I should take exceptional care when filming this footage. As well as this I should be aware of the roads in the area, where throughout the day cars will be passing, as a consequence of this I should ensure I keep out of the road and be careful when crossing the busy streets.
Tripping on Wires/Cables In The Studio
When filming in the rehearsal studio, I must ensure I take care when operating the camera as there could be trailing cables on the floor from the instruments. Tripping on a cable could lead to injury of myself or bandmates, as well as excessive damage to the camera or other equipment used such as lighting or lenses. These risks could be avoided if the band members tape down wires or tuck them in a safe area to prevent tripping whilst operating the camera.
Ensuring all equipment is set up correctly and safely
Before beginning filming with the camera, it is essential that I check all equipment twice to make sure it is completely safe, and correctly set up. If I fail to complete these checks this could result in damage to the equipment as a result of it falling, or potentially injuring people involved with the video shoot. This process is simple to conduct and it must always be completed to ensure the safety and protection of both people and the equipment used.
