For the first page of storyboards, I have kept a similar concept, taking the original ideas and ameliorating them, expanding to create a more exciting, captivating production, adding extra instruments and more effects. Below shows individual shots from the first storyboard plan.
I opted for a well lit shot of the drums to begin, the track begins with a simple drum beat, and therefore I believed this would be more effective than an establishing shot of the whole band. I then included the title of the song, followed by the name of the band, and director.
During the silence at the beginning of the song, I cut from the drums to the guitar being plugged in, and recorded the sound of the guitar's feedback, to create a more effective, interesting video. Cutting back to the drums when they begin.
This shot matched the one drawn in the storyboard, but then I have added a cut below with a continuity edit, keeping the pace of the song, as well as adding another dimension, causing it to be more interesting.
The next three clips have been exactly matched to the script and stroyboard, this is exactly what I wished to achieve.
For the majority of the music video, I used similar to what I had drawn up on my storyboards, and written in my script. However, occasionally during filming I would think of extra ideas to improve the overall video and create a more exciting and captivating media product. Therefore as well as filming shot by shot, following the storyboarding, I captured extra footage that would improve my final music video.
